We have an immediate requirement for experienced Business Analysts to work on high profile projects at leading companies across the UK with possible European travel.

Successful Business Analyst candidates will become a Consultant, working on client sites.  They will receive a competitive package with fixed permanent salary, bonus payment, holiday plus a number of additional benefits, depending upon experience.

Business Analyst Role Purpose

The Business Analyst will be responsible for eliciting, defining and validating business, process, functional and non-functional requirements relating to business systems and process change. The role holder will be expected to build strong relationships with key business partners, and ensure that IT enabled solutions support strategic client goals through the shaping and evaluation of business cases.

A key requirement will be the ability to also undertake a support project management role for client projects to help ensure they are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.

The ideal Business Analyst candidate will:

  • Have a proven and successful track record as a Senior Business Analyst, ideally gained within a large, comparable industries and services
  • Deliver efficient and effective translation of the business problems of key stakeholders into specific software, business, process, functional and non-functional requirements that meet client needs
  • Project lead business changes to ensure they are delivered on time, whilst meeting agreed quality criteria
  • Provide direct input into project timelines, estimation, action plans & risk management procedures whilst delivering sound delivery strategies & phased approaches to meet business need
  • Give support, guidance and consultancy to key business partners concerning the creation and evaluation of business cases/project proposals as well as best practices relating to project management and requirements definition
  • Be responsible for conducting user interviews, holding workshops, and conducting surveys in order to capture business requirements
  • Deliver modelling, use cases, workshop facilitation, third party relationship management and stakeholder analysis
  • Have a proven track-record working across the full project life-cycle within software development projects
  • Be an expert in building business requirements, functional specifications and system diagrams and have extensive experience working closely with IT development teams and solutions architects
  • Manage changes to baseline requirements and project / team plans through the effective application of change control processes
  • Proven experience using appropriate diagramming tools and Microsoft Office applications to create PID, Specification and other documents
  • Experience working with business personnel at all levels
  • Work closely with client senior technical staff, business partners and key users in defining, agreeing and implementing test plans to ensure business requirements are met
  • Design, develop and deliver service delivery and support models to relevant technical staff and end users as required
  • Give effective and timely communication with key business partners concerning relevant IT developments and progress on technical deliverables
  • Provide substantial experience of business analysis in a commercial environment using a variety of methodologies and techniques
  • Be experienced in documenting business, functional and non-functional requirements
  • Define test strategies, plans and manage system testing
  • Have experience of process analysis including the definition of ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ processes using a variety of methodologies and notations
  • Demonstrate experience of relationship management and the management of business change
  • Be motivated and resourceful being able to adapt rapidly to changing priorities and meet challenging deadlines
  • Communicate effectively
  • Motivate and lead client staff to be pro-active, innovative and change-oriented to support delivering projects on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards
