What is Juniper Innovations’ digital pen solution?
Juniper Innovations’ digital pen solutions allows you to fill out boxes on a pre-printed form or notepad book using a normal pen and paper, then electronically send the data back to your computer system.
You receive electronic data in minutes alongside a web based and pdf copy of the form. Using our custom software products information can be easily integrated into any of your existing software or our tracking and warehouse management system products. Alternatively Juniper Innovations can build products and solutions around your organisation keeping you in control.
Ideal for mobile and lone workers, office and project managers, customer delivery personnel, anyone carrying out inspections and audits of any kind from HGV vehicle and fork lift truck to site health and safety, risk assessments or employee training and assessment. The solution can also copy drawings e.g. surveying, fault finding and engineering.
Any forms or notes can be instantly emailed too improving your workforce productivity.
Plus the digital pen can reads bar codes for inventory data capture. This is a time saver when delivering product or auditing hardware, or site equipment.
How does it work?
The digital pen writes in normal ink onto normal paper or note books pre-printed with an Anoto dot pattern. A force sensor in the pen nib activates a tiny infra red camera. This takes 120 photos a second recording the pen position, what it writes or draws, the time of each pen stroke and the paper it was written on.
By ticking a box on the paper the pen transmits data either via blue tooth to a mobile phone or PDA which in turn send the data to our partner’s servers. Data can be instantly then sent to your PC.
Note that for smaller business or individual applications data can be sent immediately from your pen to your PC via a docking station.
Your PC receives data plus a graphical image of the file.

Digital pen software is compatible with Microsoft Office 1997 or later, or Lotus Notes 5.0 or later. We can provide a list of compatible mobile phones and PDAs too.

- 128 MB RAM
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later
- USB port
- CD ROM drive
