What is Juniper Innovations’ lone worker tracking?
When your team members are working away from the office your organisation has a duty of care and responsibility to look after them. You need practical solutions to maintain communications, help manage and control off-site work, receive job or delivery updates and know how and where to help mobile workers when they need it.

Our advanced solutions provide you with highly sensitivity GPS real time tracking enabling you to maintain contact with off-site workers and give them the ability to discretely raise an alarm. In so doing you comply with Health and Safety, Duty of Care and Corporate Manslaughter legislation.
How does it work?
Juniper Innovations’ highly sensitive miniature GPS device is carried by the mobile worker. The GPS data is transmitted over a private network at very regular intervals, by time and distance and can be viewed on maps and reports via our secure GPS web portal. The device is small and can be carried in a jacket or trouser pocket.
If the lone worker requires help they can discretely put their hand in a pocket and press the device’s large panic button. This can immediately send out text message and email alarms to preconfigured numbers and email addresses. This enables call handlers to communicate with the lone worker, track them via our secure web portal and request immediate assistance if required.
Once an alarm is raised, the device is GPS tracked every 5 seconds i.e. so the lone worker’s position can be viewed extremely accurately on our secure web portal.
If the lone worker requires different help the device also has two way voice communication with pre-configured phone numbers. Text messaging using the device is a further means of communication. In addition for extra protection by discretely pressing a button the device can silently monitor conversations the lone worker has when in a threatening situation. In fact our device integrates up to five communication options, including GSM and TCP, system-wide IEEE 802.15.4 for communication with a keyfob, Bluetooth for hands free communication, and ANT (*) for heart rate monitoring.

Real time alerts
In addition to the lone worker using the device set off alerts, it is easy to pre-configure geo-fence alerts for more security and protection. For example if the lone worker moves out of an agreed area, moves into an identified at risk zone or moves into postcode or other areas outside agreed hours. In these cases text messages and email alerts will be sent requesting help for the lone worker without the lone worker pressing any button on the device. Similarly alerts can be sent if the device is turned off for added protection.
Turning the device on and off also helps record timesheet information automatically. So you are aware and have an audit trail of the hours and locations of your lone workers.
