What is a mobile reader and software?
Juniper Innovations’ provides Stealthmark’s™ next generation microparticle patented and proprietary asset protection solutions to companies, governmental agencies, organisations and individuals. The microparticle products are invisible to the naked eye, forensically prove asset ownership and can be incorporated directly onto products, product labels, product packaging, or assets.
Mobile readers are used to read the microparticle technology. Mobile software then interprets the reading at forensic level. The microparticles are in standard off the shelf microparticle products including:
- enigmaTAG
- Tamper proof bottle seals
- Secure carton seals
- Product authentication labels
- Authenticated packaging tape
In addition to the off the shelf products custom markings can be developed as specified by the customer. These solutions are designed to meet specific customer’s requirements for anti-counterfeiting, diversion or asset tracking. The solutions are designed and implemented on a customer by customer basis.
With Juniper Innovations’ asset identification and tracking you can track your assets and have positive, forensic level proof that you are the rightful product owner if your assets are lost, stolen and later recovered. Juniper Innovations’ protection helps reduce the likelihood of your assets and shipping units being stolen and then being sold to third parties. Using Stealthmark’s™ microparticle technology unique tags can be applied and tracked both within your organisation, supply chain, territory and beyond. Proven at forensic level recovered assets can be quickly proven to be rightfully yours and can also lead to criminal convictions. Juniper Innovations’ theft and asset protection marks your assets with uniquely identifiable codes in a way that offers difficult removal or obliteration once applied. This gives you positive proof you are the product’s rightful owner.
How it works
The mobile reader is a proprietary device that works in connection with the mobile software to examine microparticle markings. The readers capture the information from the microparticles and provide that information to the software for interpretation.
The reader is connected to a personal computer running the software. It is a small portable handheld device that can easily be taken anywhere necessary to check for authentication. It does not require external power to function so it is portable and fully functional in the field. When connected with a Netbook PC the reader provides the perfect field interrogation unit.
Using the readers wherever you are in the world you’ll be able to:
- Read your unique microparticle codes where they have been applied
- Understand if your property or assets have genuine codes i.e. proof they are genuinely yours
- Immediately know where the property or assets have come from using Juniper Innovations inventory and proprietary tracking software solutions
- Have immediately forensic proof that assets/property are legitimately yours when stolen items are found i.e. making recovery much faster than traditional methods
The software analyses the reading. The functionality includes:
- Capturing a reading and processing a StealthCode™.code
- Manual verification and forensic support of a reading, if desired
- Calibration, tracking and security of the reader
What do you get?
Barcode readers can be purchased as mobile or fixed devices.
The software can be used over the web, downloaded to local PC’s or installed on an IT network.
Software can be integrated to a purpose built asset tracking database and reporting tool using Juniper Innovations’ custom software for you.
