What is Juniper Innovations Satellite Navigation integration?
Knowing where to go, how to get there and doing this efficiently is an important part of a driver’s work. Juniper Innovations’ integrated Garmin satellite navigation (sat nav) system gives you this and more.
The Garmin satellite navigation (sat nav) system is integrated with our GPS tracking system. It gives drivers step by step instructions, street maps and tracks the driver’s progress via our secure web portal system. Costly turns can be avoided and efficient routes are instantly planned. In addition messages can be sent to drivers such as new delivery destinations. Plus drivers can update their status using the Garmin device that in turn updates our GPS tracking website.
How does it work?
The integrated sat nav works fully with our GPS tracking units and our secure web portal. Robust cradles can be securely fitted in your vehicles and connected to our GPS units.
Synchronising with our secure web portal destinations can be sent to the Garmin unit enabling the shortest route to be calculated. In turn the Garmin updates our website giving expected time of arrival information. Combined with geo-fence information you know where drivers are expected to be, what time drivers are expected to arrive and when they actually get there.
Plus using our intelligent GPS tracking units text message alerts can be sent to the driver and appear on the sat nav. Important updated delivery details or new journey information is easy to send to drivers. Plus using our secure web portal you can receive replies and see when messages have been read.
Drivers can also update their working status e.g. driving, resting, meal break and so on.
Whilst drivers are on the road the secure web portal can be used to update destination information to drivers. For example information updates include drivers to new postcode, address or geo-fence areas such as predefined customer sites.
When the driver finishes for the day sat nav units are quick and easy to remove from cradles for safe and secure storage.
