System testing

The extent of system testing within technology based projects has always been a debatable priority for organisations, with a strong focus on ensuring that both risks and benefits are monitored throughout a product’s or solution’s life-cycle.  As organisations continue to drive a more proactive testing focus, there is a clear movement toward a more systematic approach to managing risks throughout a life-cycle.

Although risk management activities and plans increase companies’ understanding of a product or solution’s risks, a broader requirement is moving to centre stage; the continuous and rigorous review of available data to evaluate the balance between benefits and risks.  In the old paradigm, the presumption was that the IT function oversees the analysis of testing throughout solution development and the rest of the organisation somehow monitors risk during and after implementation.  Juniper Innovations has helped companies to bridge the development and post-implementation worlds by defining processes, tools, and decision-making structures to consider and assess information throughout a product or solution life-cycle to monitor and respond to changes in benefits and risk. The new paradigm, and the requirement to evaluate all available data to monitor the benefit to risk relationship throughout the life-cycle, introduces further challenges: Information can come from many sources – development, conference room pilots, controlled roll-outs and full blown implementations.  In most companies, there are not existing forums which bring the owners of this information together to consider all information in an integrated way.

With our deep understanding of technology in the specialised sectors we operate in, Juniper Innovations can help you to define a scalable and effective approach to managing implementation risks; bringing the necessary groups and information together to continually monitor those risks relative to the benefits.
