What are tamper proof bottle seals?
Juniper Innovation’s tamper proof bottle seals contain codes working at a forensic level, that reduce the unauthorised tampering of your:
- Bottled products
- Products contained in sealed containers
Using them you’ll be able to positively impact your organisation’s financial well-being and improve brand integrity.
The tamper proof bottle seals contain both a bar code and Stealthmark’s™ next generation microparticles. Invisible to the naked eye the microparticles give positive, forensic level proof that a product is genuine and has not been tampered with. The presence of label assures a genuine nature and the manufacturer, sender and recipient can monitor this using a combination of a unique microparticle code and a serial number bar code within the label. This combination will be unique to each customer purchasing our anti-tampering label security products. Using proprietary readers and software the authenticity of products can be verified anywhere after the label has been applied. Should the label be removed or seal broken from the item it would be considered counterfeit or tampered with.
How it works
Each tamper proof bottle seal contains a microparticle code and a bar code for serialization and easy tracking with a scanner. The seal is a long rectangular label that is applied over the top of a bottle closure for security and verification of authenticity. The bottle cannot be opened without breaking the label. The label verifies the authenticity of the bottle. The micropaticle code, also known as a StealthCode™ provides covert security and verifies the authentication for the label. The bar code serial number provides product security and tracking down to the item level if desired. This product can also be used as a tax stamp for governmental agencies wanting to verify that the appropriate taxes have been paid on each bottle.
Business application
The seals can be bought off the shelf or custom made. StealthCodes™ and Serial Numbers sent to each customer are recorded in secure software. Seals can then be applied as closures to the bottles with the opportunity to scan barcodes and record serial numbers locally. This information can then be linked with our secure databases i.e. where product information is linked to bar codes and microparticle codes.
Once in the market, the presence of the seal on the bottle would indicate that the product is authentic. All that remains is to verify that the closure is authentic and is the one assigned to the product. At the point of verification the closure would be scanned and the serial number captured from the bar code. The StealthCode™ would also be read at this time. The serial number and StealthCode™ would be sent to the secure database for verification. The serial number would already be associated with a particular product and customer. If the serial number matches the customer’s product description and the StealthCode™ matches the serial number, then the product would be considered authentic. If not, the product would be considered a counterfeit.
Portable readers
Once applied microparticles can be read using Stealthmark™ portable or fixed readers. So wherever you are in the world you’ll be able to:
- Read your unique microparticle codes where they have been applied
- Understand if your property or assets have genuine codes i.e. proof they are genuinely yours
- Immediately know where the property or assets have come from using Juniper Innovations inventory and proprietary tracking software solutions
- Have immediate forensic proof that assets/property are legitimately yours when stolen items are found i.e. making recovery much faster than traditional methods
- Know the product or asset has been tampered with if the label is missing or seal broken

What do you get?
Juniper Innovations supplies a standard anti-tampering label product. The label includes a standard bar code incorporating Stealthmark’s microparticle technology.
The barcode label contains the following features making each item unique, secure and easy to read and validate:
- Unique code
- Serial number in bar code format
The unique code attests to the authenticity of the product and the bar code serial number ties the code to a product/customer/item. The combination of these two items can be used as a powerful tool for authenticity.
In addition each label contains a variety of additional features found on many of the security labels found in the market today. These include micro printing, UV ink and custom holographic printing. A security label stock and adhesive will be used so the label cannot be removed from an item and reapplied to another item.
Barcode readers or unique code readers with Stealthmark’s™ proprietary software are able to validate an asset’s authenticity.
All products and items can be tracked using our proprietary software or using a purpose built asset tracking database and reporting tool using Juniper Innovations’ custom software for you.
